Security
A front door is the last line of defence for your home. Ours are engineered around that — from the way the frame is fixed to the wall through to the cylinder in the barrel.
Multi-point locking engages at three points as standard, cylinders are 3-star anti-snap, anti-bump and anti-drill, hinges are heavy-duty steel, and glazed panels use laminated safety glass that resists impact. PAS24 configurations meet the standard required for new-build and insurance-approved projects.
Security this good used to mean a chunky composite. Now you can have it with a real timber door that looks like it belongs on your house.

Bespoke solid timber entrance doors typically range from £2,200 to £5,500 fitted, depending on size, timber species (Accoya, engineered hardwood, oak), glazing, ironmongery, security specification and any side or top lights. Every project gets a fixed, itemised quote after a free on-site survey.
Yes — modern engineered timber doors are exceptionally secure. Ours are internally glazed as standard, so the glass is fitted from inside the property — no beads to prise off from the street. On top of that: multi-point locking, anti-snap, anti-bump and anti-drill cylinders, laminated toughened glass, heavy-duty 4mm steel security hinges, and fully insulated engineered core panels. PAS24-compliant configurations available. Composite doors have no security advantage over a properly specified timber door.
Yes. Our Accoya doors achieve U-values from 1.0 W/m²K — A-rated for energy, comfortably outperforming the Building Regulations requirement (1.4 W/m²K). Combined with compression seals on every edge, they deliver much better performance than a traditional solid oak door on hinges.
Yes. All timber doors are factory-finished with microporous paint in any RAL, Farrow & Ball, Little Greene or matched colour, or in a translucent stain over hardwood. We also offer factory-sprayed dual-colour finishes as standard — one colour on the outside face, another on the inside — sprayed in the same production pass so no site painting is required.
Our Accoya entrance doors carry a 30-year guarantee against rot and warping and are expected to last well over 60 years. Traditional hardwood front doors typically last 40-60 years when properly maintained and repainted every 6-8 years.
Yes — sidelights and toplights are one of the most popular ways to add light and impact to a front door installation. All coordinated in matching timber, glazing bar pattern and finish, and installed as a single unit for weathertight seals.
Typical lead time from order to installation is 8-12 weeks depending on complexity and time of year. Urgent replacements (e.g. after storm damage) can often be turned around faster — please ask when you enquire.
