Heritage & Character
Made for Yorkshire's period homes.
Yorkshire's finest houses — the Georgian townhouses of York, the Victorian terraces of Harrogate, the Grade II farmhouses tucked into the Dales — deserve sash windows that respect what came before.
We hand-specify every window to your property's original detailing: glazing bar widths, horns, cill projections, meeting rail profiles. Where original windows survive, we replicate them exactly. Where they've been lost to earlier replacements, we work from period reference to restore what should have been there.
The result is joinery that looks entirely correct — from the pavement, from inside your home, and to the eye of a conservation officer.

Performance
Modern joinery, hidden inside tradition.
Timber sash windows have moved on. Our standard 24mm Planitherm One units deliver a centre-pane U-value of 1.0 W/m²K — thermally comparable to modern casements — while looking authentically period from either side. For projects needing the tightest thermal spec, vacuum glazing takes the whole window down to a U-value as low as 1.0 W/m²K.
Accoya, our recommended timber, is modified softwood that outperforms every hardwood on dimensional stability and rot resistance. It doesn't swell, shrink, twist or rot. That's why we back it with a 30-year guarantee.
Combined with modern spiral balances, weather seals and micro-porous factory paint, our sash windows are practically maintenance-free for decades.
