Arched sash windows for a Victorian home in York.
The shape of an opening matters just as much as the sash mechanism. At a Victorian villa in Heworth, the brief was to retain the frontage's proportions and arched window heads while replacing the windows with a modern timber specification.
The five Accoya windows use spring balances and a white finish, with three windows upstairs and two beside the entrance below. The project photographs show the completed frontage and the detailing that connects the new windows to the original openings.
