Yes. Much of central York sits within conservation areas or Article 4 directions, and we regularly design timber windows and doors to suit. We match original glazing bar profiles, cill heights and mouldings, and our standard 24mm Planitherm One units are usually acceptable to City of York conservation officers. Where Listed Building Consent is required, we support the application.
A single sash window is usually fitted in a day. A full house of sash windows in a York townhouse typically takes several days, worked around access and any scaffolding. Lead time from order to installation is normally 8–12 weeks. Our own craftsmen carry out every fit and clean up as they go.
